Sorry to break it to you, ladies of Generation X: Johnny Depp may be about to hang up his eyeliner.

Depp says that the weirdness of superstar actordom is starting to get to him, he said in an interview with the BBC. “When you realize that you’ve said written words more than you’ve had a chance to say your own words, you start to think about that as an insane option for a human being. Are there quieter things that I wouldn’t mind doing? Yeah.”

Depp had turned up for the interview wearing an assortment of sparkly pink nail polish. “This is a daughter’s revenge,” he explained. “This is a 14-year-old girl going, ‘Dad, I want to paint your nails now. There’s nothing you can do about it.'”

Considering it’s Johnny Depp, I doubt he objected very hard. If there was ever a guy secure enough in his masculinity to rock Blushing Rose, it’s the Deppster.

Depp most recently portrayed Tonto in “The Lone Ranger,” and he told Metro that it was important to him to reimagine Tonto’s role in the story.“As a very young child, I was always perturbed by the idea of Tonto being a sidekick. That just didn’t register properly in my head,” Depp explains. “I just thought it was potentially an opportunity to right the wrong, you know?”
