Kanye West has been formally charged with misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft stemming from his brawl with a photographer outside at the Los Angeles International Airport in July, according to TMZ. An arraignment has been scheduled for Oct. 10.
“We are very gratified to learn today that the L.A. City Attorney has chosen to criminally charge Kanye West,” Gloria Allred, the attorney for photographer Daniel Ramos, said in a statement. “Celebrities should be held to the same standards as anyone else and we are very gratified that the L.A. City Attorney is not intimidated by Mr. West’s fame and fortune.”
