The Word: Lohan overload? It’s your call

Though her felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail plus 480 hours of community service for violating her probation by allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store, according to TMZ. But Lohan isn’t sunk yet, as the judge is giving the actress the chance to prove her innocence at a trial set to begin May 11. Lohan posted $75,000 bail and was released five hours later. Her lawyer is appealing the decision.

This means a new trial. This means more of our collective brain power being used by this nonsense. I’m tired of following it, but I will as long as you’re still interested. So what do you think, readers? Keep up with the Lohan nonsense or move on to other, fresher gossip items? There has to be some starlet out there who is up to more entertaining antics, right?

America’s tired about you

Remember Paul Reiser? Judging by the reaction to his “The Paul Reiser Show,” it seems like most of you don’t — it scored the lowest rating for a debuting sitcom in NBC’s history (worse than “Lipstick Jungle,” and that’s saying something). The response from critics and audiences alike was so bad, NBC is pulling the show after only airing two episodes.
