It looked like it was going to be Robin Thicke’s year.
He finally rose from the songwriting trenches to make a name for himself with hiscatchy mega-hit “Blurred Lines,” which quickly became the song and video of the summer. It seemed like there was nothing that was going to stop him — but then came the MTV VMAs.
That night, the world almost fell off its axis when they witnessed Thicke and Miley Cyrus’ duet at the annual awards show. At first, it seemed like Thicke got a pass on the bad performance — the world’s vitriol was focused on Cyrus’ onstage antics and not Thicke’s singing — but then thisphoto came out, of Thicke and a fan at a VMA afterparty at 1Oak.
It looks innocent enough, but then you notice the reflection in the mirror and see a married man’s hand where it shouldn’t be. One fan apparently thought the singer’s wife, actress Paula Patton, deserved to know about it — U.K. Twitter user @JenLeadleytweetedthe photo at Patton, writing, “Look at the reflection girl.” From there, it spread like wildfire.
And now that fan is speaking out — and it seems like things got even busier than a little butt squeeze.Lana Scolaro, 20,reveals to Life & Style that not only did she hook up with Thicke but she did it withPattonjust a few feet away.“I don’t think he cared what she thought,” she says.“I was with him the whole night!”
Thicke’s classic pick-up line to the 20-year-old self-described socialite? “I just love the fact that you’re so young.” Which: Barf.
After some lip-smacking at 1Oak, Thicke and Patton gaveScolaro a lift to yet another party (the after-afterparty?) at theGreenwich Hotel.“I went to the bathroom, and when I came out he was standing there,” she tells the mag.“He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, ‘I want to get you into bed!’”
There were no bedroom visits, alas. The party finally broke up at 8 a.m. and they could not do the deed (with Paula Patton probably in the same room, watching HGTV). Life & Style reports that Scolaro gave Thicke her number, and he said they would hook up again during New York Fashion Week.
