What’s worse than wearing white to your friend’s wedding? Showing up at the ceremony with Sean Penn. Scarlett Johansson, 26, stole the show at Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth’s nuptials by attending with new (old?) boyfriend Penn, 50, reports Popeater. “Scarlett is Jim’s client, but no one, including the bride, knew she would have turned up with Sean Penn,” a source says. “Turning up at a wedding with your boyfriend is definitely a huge statement, especially that wedding. What it’s doing is announcing to the whole of Hollywood that they are serious.”
Notably, two days after the wedding, Penn learned he received 36 months probation and 300 hours of community service stemming from an incident in which he kicked a member of the paparazzi.
Dating one of the hottest women in the world does not bode well for Sean’s hatred of having his photo taken.
Simpson to be on ‘X Factor’?
Jessica Simpson is still holding out hope that Simon Cowell will tap her to be a judge on his new, U.S. version of “The X-Factor,” she tells WWD. “They have definitely talked to me about ‘X Factor,’” Simpson says. “I think it would be a lot of fun. … I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people’s dreams come true.”
And we all would love to watch Simon Cowell’s reaction to what comes out of Simpson’s mouth.
