There are giant clouds in the Oculus for World Water Day

Lower Manhattan’s airy transit hub the Oculus has attracted some localized weather for the day.

“The Water Clouds by Stella Artois” is a public art project that, like clouds, will only be around for a brief moment. Created by Snarkitecturein partnership withMother New York, the towering cumulous clouds of whites and blues seemingly floating in midair is part of World Water Day, March 22, and are designed to raise awareness for communities worldwide without access to clean water.

While the clouds are merely artistic works, you can help make it rain. Stella Artois will be selling limited-edition chalices at a nearby kiosk, and each purchase will help the charity Water.org provide five years of clean water to someone in the developing world as part of the beer brand’s Buy a Lady a Drink campaign. You’ll also get your own bubble to add to the installation.

The clouds will remain at the Oculus inside Westfield World Trade Center until 9 p.m. tonight.
