The nation’s economy has some cities facing large poverty levels, and a report posted by the site onlyinyourstate.com — which used data from the United States Census Bureau — points out the 10 cities in Massachusetts that are struggling to get by the most. The list was compiled from information off of the 2009-2013 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates, an ongoing survey that covers a range of topics about social, economic, demographic and housing characteristics. (According to onlyinyourstate.com, Lawrence is also listed as one of the poorest cities in the whole nation.)
