Barack and Michelle Obama dined out at this Martha’s Vineyard restaurant

Obamas

As Malia gets ready for her first year at Harvard, proud parents Barack and Michelle Obama haven’t been far away. They’ve been soaking up the sun in one of the Bay State’s most scenic vacation spots.

The former president and first lady have once again been spending their summer over on Martha’s Vineyard, where they’ve enjoyed everything from SoulCycle classes to the best of the island’s food scene. Apparently they’ve become fans of the soulful cuisine over at Red Cat Kitchen located in Oak Bluffs.

According to a Facebook post by chef and owner Benjamin DeForest, the power couple swung by the restaurant twice during their recent trip. The Obamas were kind enough to pose for a picture with DeForest, making for a nice moment after a long weekend.

“Two out of twelve, the nights President Obama ate dinner with us at Red Cat Kitchen,” DeForest wrote in his social media post. “A great night.”

While the restaraunt’s menu may change on a daily basis, foodies can expect dishes such as blue lump crab salad, steak tartare and pan-seared big eye tuna with lobster risotto at Red Cat Kitchen.

Whether it’s on the Vineyard or in Cambridge, the Obamas have been making the rounds in Massachusetts food scene this month. The family was also recently spotted having a meal at Harvest in Harvard Square during move-in week for Malia.
