Broadway in Boston announced this week that it will be holding a special #HAM4HAM digital lottery for discounted tickets prior to every Hamilton performance in Boston this fall. That means you’ll have plenty of chances to snag seats for 10 bucks, an appropriate price considering that a portrait of Alexander Hamilton adorns the $10 bill.
According to a release, 40 tickets will be sold at the rate prior to each show throughout Hamilton’s run at the Boston Opera House, which begins Sept. 18 and ends Nov. 18. The digital lotteries will be held two days before each performance, starting at 11 a.m., and will remain open until 9 a.m. the day prior to the show.
How to get $10 Hamilton Boston tickets
In order to enter the lotteries for $10 Hamilton Boston tickets, fans will have a few options. First, there’s the official Hamilton app, which is available to download on iOS and Android devices in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The second option is to register online at hamiltonmusical.com/lottery. Winners will be notified by text or email at 11 a.m. the day before the performance.
Of course, there are a few rules in place to make sure everyone has a fair shot at scoring $10 Hamilton Boston tickets.
Each winner will only be allowed to purchase up to two tickets during each lottery, so don’t expect to bring the whole family to the same show at the discounted rate. Additionally, only one entry will be allowed per person, and repeat tries and disposable email addresses will be thrown out.
The $10 Hamilton Boston tickets must also be purchased via a credit card online by 4 p.m. the day prior to the show using the special link and code sent in the notification message. Should tickets not be claimed by that time, they’ll be forfeited.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older with a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name that was entered into the lottery. The lottery tickets can be picked up at the Boston Opera House’s will call two hours before the show with an ID as well, however, if you try to transfer or resell them, they’ll be voided.
