Escape the city for the weekend without going too far this weekend with the 2018 Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival.

The festival brings together more than 20 expert sand sculptors from as far away as Russia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Sweden to compete for the grand prize.

The whole extravaganza will end with a dazzling fireworks display on Saturday night.
