Back for its 17th year, the Sports Museum will once again host its fundraising gala at the TD Garden on Wednesday night. The event will honor a number of local sports legends, including former Celtics star Paul Pierce, former Patriots Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch, former Bruins coach Don Cherry, Red Sox Hall of Famer Jim Lonborg, plus NASCAR star Richard Petty as well as Olympic gold medalist and FIFA World Cup champ Julie Foudy.
