FOG X FLO
In honor of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy’s 20th anniversary, “fog sculptures” will take over parks around the Emerald Necklace beginning this weekend. Created by Boston’s own Fujiko Nakaya, the celebrated artist has spent decades working with the “climate responsive” medium. The presentations will be on view hourly, from dusk until dawn, at five sites through Oct. 31.

Out of the Park
Just because the Red Sox are away this weekend doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some live, baseball action. For the fifth year in a row, Boston fans will get the chance to see a free screening of a game outdoors during the Out of the Park event on the Common. In addition to showing the Red Sox vs. Orioles game live from Camden Yards, Sunday’s festivities include free food, appearances by Wally the Green Monster and his sister Tessie, face painting, a virtual reality station and more. L.L.Bean will also be on hand with its Bootmobile, which is bringing an archery accuracy challenge.

Fenway Fridays Brew Deck
The weekly Fenway Fridays block party is kicking things up a notch with a new Brew Deck series. On select Fridays through September, Tasty Burger will give its outdoor lot a makeover, complete with music, lawn games and, of course, plenty of food and brews. Lord Hobo Brewing Co. is also getting in on the fun and will introduce its latest limited release, the Pilot Series 18-03, when the festivities kick off Aug. 10.

Great Boston Rib Fest

Tour de Fat
The beer-filled fun continues on Saturday thanks to New Belgium Brewing. This roving celebration will stop at City Hall Plaza for day of dedicated to craft brews and bike culture. The event will feature more of a festival vibe thanks to live music and funky costumes. Proceeds will also go to benefit cycling non-profits.

Neighborhood Nights Block Party

Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett and more Fenway concerts
Fenway Park will be rocking all weekend long. Head to Margaritaville on Thursday night with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, as well as country-pop singer Caroline Jones who’ll serve as the evening’s opener. On Friday, the one and only Billy Joel returns for a record fifth year in a row at the historic ballpark. The fun finishes up on Saturday with performances by Journey and Def Leppard. Make sure to try a Def Leppard Pale brew, which the band created in collaboration with Elysian Brewing Company.
