As we enter the second to last full weekend of August, it’s time to prepare ourselves for the inevitable end of summer. While the warm weather will soon come to an end, there’s still time to get out there and have some fun. From concerts to festivals and everything in between, here’s our guide to the best things to do in Boston this weekend.

African Festival of Boston

Celebrate African arts and culture when the festival returns to the Commons for its 8th year on Sunday. The festivities will include fashion, food, live performances and more.

Aretha Franklin MFA tribute

The world continues to mourn the death of Aretha Franklin, who died in her Detroit home at the age of 76 last week. The Museum of Fine Arts is honoring the Queen of Soul with a special installation in the Sharf Visitor Center. The MFA has put on display a beautiful Herb Ritts’ photo, “Aretha Franklin (1992),” along with images of four album covers as a tribute to the music icon.

Saint Anthony’s Feast

The “Feast of all Feasts” returns for its 99th edition this weekend. Head to the North End to take part in this year’s celebration, which will include live entertainment, a 10-hour ” Grand Procession,” plus plenty of tasty Italian food.

Wild ‘N Out

Nick Cannon and the Wild ‘N Out crew are taking over the TD Garden on Friday night. We caught up with the actor and musician ahead of his trip to Boston.

Fermentation Festival

Out of all the things to do in Boston this weekend, this one may be the funkiest. Stop by the Boston Public Market on Sunday to learn all about the process of fermentation. The “Shark Tank” star is coming to the Hub. Prior to his speech at the Harvard Biotech Club’s fall kick off event on Thursday afternoon,  Kevin O’Leary will host a free wealth-building seminar where fans can learn about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and a self-made millionaires.

Selfie Kid

Hang out with Selfie Kid, otherwise known as South Shore’s own Ryan McKenna, at I Love Boston Sports in Dedham on Friday. The viral sensation from Super Bowl LII will be on-site taking selfies with customers. He’ll also be giving away promo codes on his Instagram account prior to the event.

“Sandlot”

Boston Jazz Fest

Back for its 8th year, take a trip over to the Seaport for a free day of music this weekend. The festivities will kick off at noon on Saturday and will feature food, vendors and performances by Richard Evans, Albino Mbie, Zeke Martin, Bradle Bartlet Roche, Pat Braxton, ZYG and GroovaLootos. A tribute to Aretha Franklin is also scheduled to commence at 5:40 p.m.
