Tiffani Faison is quickly becoming the foodie queen of Fenway.

Following the success of her restaurants Sweet Cheeks Q and Tiger Mama, the acclaimed chef and former "Top Chef" finalist is ready to open her third venture in the neighborhood, Fool's Errand. Fenway's latest hotspot, which is set to debut on Aug. 16, is being billed as an adult snack bar that will be a "breath of fresh air for the city," according to Faison.

Fool's Errand won't be a sitdown joint like her previous restaurants. Instead, it's stylistically influenced by European-style tapas bars. The space will be standing room only and can accomodate between 20 and 30 guests. Faison envisions Fool's Errand as a "low commitment" destination where people can pop in for a quick bite or drink before they catch a movie or meet friends.

"We're not here for a relationship," Faison tells Metro. "The idea is to come in on a wait somewhere, whether you're going to a movie or waiting for a table at another restaurant, or if you just want a little bit of a snack or something that feels delicious and of the moment, and then you can move on to whatever you're doing."

"It's literally like stopping over at a friend's house," she adds.

Of course, guests are invited to stick around for a longer stay in order to try the whole food and drink menu. While the space is influenced by European tapas bars, the menu features American-style bites and small plates concocted by Faison and chef de cuisine Ellie Roycroft.

Highlights on the food side include "Fancy Finger Sammies" like raclette and summer truffle and smoked beef tongue, as well as croquette offerings ranging from pilgrim cake with brandade and gribiche to the Italian with pepperoni and mozarella. There's also a bites section featuring decadent options like lobster gravy and uni, plus an "Ocean Friends" portion of the menu with plenty of seafood offerings.

Daniel Motsinger has been tapped as the beverage and hospitality director, bringing a fun cocktail menu to Fool's Errand, complete with drinks like the Ill-Repute, made with a "tangy, bitter spritz," Evan Williams 86, Wolfberger Wolfamer, apricot, lemon and chocolate bitters.

"The idea is that you just pop in, have a couple snacks, have a little wine, vermouth or a cocktail or two," says Faison. "Then you keep it moving. The idea is to feel really casual, really fun and really friendly."

"For us, it was about taking some of the seriousness away," she adds. "Just come hang out with us."
