Do classic cars really get your engine going? How about souped-up muscle cars? Then you better make plans to check out the 12th Annual East Passyunk Car Show and Festival on Sunday, July 30. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 140 cars of all kinds will line East Passyunk Avenue for this free-to-attend event that features fun for the whole family.

“The 12th Annual Car Show and Street Festival is back and bigger than ever,” says East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District Director Pam Zenzola.  “Families from around the tri-state area flock to the East Passyunk area to cruise the cars, enjoy live music on every block and taste authentic South Philly cooking.

Excited? Here are five things you can’t miss at the 12th Annual East Passyunk Car Show.

$5 Food and Drink Specials
You’ll definitely want to come hungry to the Car Show because a ton of local restaurants and bars are serving up $5 Food and Drink Specials. A few highlights include Marra’s $5 meatball sandwich on a Sarcone roll; Adobe Cafe’s $5 burritos and margaritas and FUEL’s $5 smoothies or juices.

Kid’s activities
Perhaps your children will be entertained enough by all the cool cars and yummy treats. Just in case they aren’t, bring them over to the Kid Zone at Broad and McKean where they can play on a Moon Bounce, make car-themed crafts and play games to win prizes.

Craft Show
So many pretty things, so little time! After you’ve seen enough cars, walk over to the Singing Fountain for a craft show hosted by the adorable East Passyunk shop, Nice Things Handmade. Splurge on everything from home decor, fashion accessories, art, stuffed animals, jewelry, bags and more.

Live Music
No matter where you decide to spend your time at the East Passyunk Car Show this year, you will hear live music on every block. Featured acts include The Drive In’s, Blue Pharoahs, Joey Joy, DJ Lindsay Marie, DJ Christopher DJ, Brown Sugar, Las Palabras and Ralphie Head.
