On Monday, a Philadelphia judge sentenced rapper, Meek Mill, to two to four years in prison for violating his probation on a 2008 drug and gun chase, Philly.com reports.
Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley handed down the sentence to a stunned courtroom of Meek Mill supporters.
According to Philly.com, Brinkley told the 30-year-old rapper: ““I gave you break after break, and you basically just thumbed your nose at this court.” She went on to say that his sentence would be served in a state prison and he’d be eligible for parole in two years.
A number of celebrities have reacted to Meek Mill’s prison sentence on social media, including Jay-Z and Kevin Hart.
