Most people have heard of the Feast of the Seven Fishes tradition, but have you ever heard of a Pizza of the Seven Fishes? The team at SLiCE Pizza is bringing back their annual holiday pie, which features mozzarella topped with clams, mussels, shrimp, tuna, crab meat, sardines, anchovies fresh lemon and basil. Yup, we counted seven different kinds of fish on the pizza so it’s the real deal. It will be available through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 and costs $19 for a small pie and $26 for a large pie.

In the United States, we’re all about baking Christmas cookies to share with family and friends but in Venezuela, it’s all about the hallacas, holiday tamales, and Puyero Venezuelan Flavor has some on the menu for the holiday. Their variety features corn dough stuffed with chicken stew adorned with potatoes, olive and raisins — all wrapped up in plantain leaves. One hallaca costs $9, five costs $42.50 and 10 costs $80.

Dating back hundreds of years, Swiss cheese is melted over a fire and scraped over a baguette or potatoes. At Christmas Village, you can get it on a baguette and on a cold, wintry day, it’s the ultimate comfort food treat. You can still try it through the end of Christmas Village, which is open through Christma Eve.

In the mood for a sweet treat? The holiday-themed milkshakes at P’unk Burger on East Passyunk will even make Scrooges merry. Their collaboration with Franklin Fountain has yielded two specialty flavors for the season — an eggnog custard milkshake (home cooked custard with egg yolks, infused with orange peel, nutmeg and brandy) and the non-dairy peppermint stick (hand-made crushed red and green peppermint candy ribbons in a coconut milk based peppermint ice cream.) Yum!
