The rooftop views of 1942 Tasker are downright stunning. Zillow

Living on the eastern edge of Passyunk – Google calls this South Philly neighborhood "Wharton," but I don't – I rarely cross over Broad Street to our neighbor, Point Breeze. (Especially after Madira Bar did away with its tandoori chicken cheesesteak.) But if you've been paying attention to the fickle Philly market, Point Breeze is the new "hot" neighborhood, and was even named so by Curbed back in January, which predicted home prices would skyrocket.

New constructions and renovated single-family homes are abundant, and prices are still low in this super accessible neighborhood. We hear parking is a pain, but that's old news by this point. Check out these three digs we currently love:

1942 Tasker St.
3 beds, 4 baths
$449,000

The same industrial-modern concepts that now come standard in new constructions – metal banisters on floating stairs, glass-enclosed showers, exposed brick – get an upgrade in this dramatic three-story condo. Black cabinets and drastic black-and-white stone counters in the kitchen add an urban tone, and dark wood floors throughout give a gorgeous contrast to the bright walls and tons of natural light coming through. Head upstairs to the rooftop deck for unobstructed skyline views, or hang in the basement, fully remodeled and ready to become a man cave, home gym, theater room or even a guest bedroom.

1345 S. Ringgold St.
3 beds, 3 baths
$350,000

Dating back to 1923, this row-home near Reed and 25th streets got a chic, modern update. Recessed lights, an open layout and oversized windows fill the main living and kitchen space with natural light, and white cabinets, light granite and quartz counters and subway tiles add to that light, airy feel. This 1,000-square-foot property also features two outdoor spaces: a backyard big enough for a private garden or entertaining friends over the barbecue, and a rooftop deck and wet bar with access from the master suite.

2022 Mountain St.
2 beds, 2 baths
$259,000

Stunning original exposed brick becomes the focal point of this rehabbed Point Breeze condo. That natural, industrial feel continues through the two-story home with stunning wood paneling on the kitchen walls and in the spare bedroom and wood flooring on both stories.
The spacious backyard features alleyway access and wood-paneled walls, perfect for hosting your next summer barbecue.
