Hispanic Heritage Month starts
In a city rich with diverse Latino communities and civic pride, one month’s tribute hardly scratches the surface. Though HHM begins Sept. 15, the 34th annual Feria del Barrio (Sept. 23) is a great center point: a food and music-filled collaboration between Taller Puertorriqueño (Taller), Congreso de Latinos Unidos (Congreso), HACE, and Raíces Culturales Latinoamericanas (Raíces).

Philly AIDS Thrift 13th Anniversary Block Party
More than a used bargain shop, Philly AIDS Thrift is a way of life dedicated to healing and helping and funding all HIV/AIDS-related causes. Plus, at this party, you’ll get celebrity dunk tanks, sword swallowing with MacKenzie Moltov, live circus arts from Squidling Brothers and more.
