Tinder

Have you seen this dog?

Maggie the 2-year-old Maltese was hanging out with her puppy-sitter in New Jersey when someone swiped her.

Perhaps the photo we should be looking at is the suspect’s — he must have at least one on his Tinder profile.

Police in Leonia, New Jersey, are looking for the fluffy, white dog who was stolen on a date made through the popular dating/hook up app Tinder.

The 18-year-old woman was house sitting in Bergen County when she invited her Tinder date over. She probably thought it was great he didn’t ghost her, but things did disappear.

“She invited the subject to the house and he arrived with another male subject. While the house sitter was distracted by one of the subjects, the other was alone in the house,” police said.

“Shortly after the subjects left the house, it was discovered that a laptop and package from Amazon were stolen.

“Also missing was the family dog, a 2-year-old white female Maltese named Maggie.”

Authorities found the Tinder date, who lives in New Jersey, but Maggie is still MIA. Tinder man has not been arrested yet.

“We have had a limited conversation with him,” said Leonia police Capt. Scott Tamagny, the New York Post reported. “The investigation is still underway.”

“We don’t know if this dog is still in the possession of these subjects,” Tamagny said. “We’re asking for the public’s help.”

Anyone who has spotted Maggie or who has information about this case should call the Leonia Police at (201) 944-0800 or email tips@leoniapd.org.

The Leonia Police Department would also like to remind the public of the following safety tips when using social media apps:

• Do not share personal/financial information on social media

• Meet in a public place when meeting for the first time

• Tell family and friends when meeting someone new for the first time
