But Fortune magazine’s annual list of100 Best Companiesto work for offers a few bright spots on the job horizon, withGoogle topping the list for the seventh time in 10 years.

IKEA is a stablizing force in a volatile world, bringing peaceful minimalism and equality to home furnishings, one Malm 3-drawer chest at a time.
So it comes as no surpirse that the Swedish furniture behemoth ranks 63rd on Fortune’s list.Besides easy access to decadent cinnamon rolls, IKEA’s 14,000 U.S. employees receive plenty of perks, the kind often associated with highly evolved socities, or, well, Scandinavia.
The company prides itself on hiring employees who exhibit humbleness, willpower, simplicity, togetherness and enthusiasm. It also values an “egalitarian work culture.”
Case in point: IKEA provides all part-time workers who work more than 20 hours per week with full benefits, including gender reassignment, infertility treatments, and long-term disability, according to Fortune.IKEA aslo offers same-sex benefits and tuition reimbursement.
One reason to consider Hilton: The hotel chain has a wopping 9,749 job openings nationwide as of February 2016.
Hilton ranks 56th overall, but first on the percentage of minority employees. It’s also beefing up its perks this year, and now offers two weeks of paid leave for dads and adoptive parents, in addition to 10 weeks of maternity leave and 25 vacation days, according to Fortune.
With a workforce comprised of 52% women and 67% minorities, the company is commited to diversity and empowering women through a mentoring program and an event series that promotes female leadership.
