Three basketball players from St. Francis Xavier University have been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Tyler Richards, 22, and Eamon Morrissey, 19, both of Halifax, were charged along with William Donkoh, 19, of Nepean, Ont.
The charges stem from a Feb. 21 incident when a student was assaulted. They will appear in court on May 4.
Richards, a fifth-year guard, is a three-time first-team Atlantic University Sport all-star who finished second in conference scoring this season with a 19.6 points-per-game average.
The X-Men are the No. 1 seed entering the AUS championship, which starts Friday at the Metro Centre.
