Thursday gossip roundup: LeeAnn Rimes checks into rehab for ‘stress and anxiety’

Just after celebrating her 30th birthday, country singer LeAnn Rimes has checked herself into rehab for “anxiety and stress,” her rep confirms to People magazine. “LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,” the rep says. “While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms.” Rimes herself is looking forward to feeling better after her month in rehab: “All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much,” she says. “I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”

Sofia Vergara confirms that yes, Nick Loeb did propose to her during her birthday trip to Mexico earlier this summer, but don’t expect the wedding anytime soon. “I haenvn’t started planning anything because everything has been very recent,” she tells Celebuzz. She also says she’s not opposed to being a mom again post-wedding: “It’s something that maybe one day I’ll do again. I wouldn’t mind,” she says. “I mean, I think I can still do it. But you know, when you want to do something like that, you want to do it right, at the right moment, so I am taking it easy, so maybe when I have a little less work.”

Lindsay Lohan has had more than her share of problems lately, but at least her coworkers are singing her praises. Nolan Gerard Funk, who co-stars with the troubled actress in the recently wrapped film “the Canyons,” says Lohan was a dream to work with, according to Entertainment Tonight. “Lindsay and I had some great chemistry. She’s definitely an exciting actress to work with,” he says. “You never know what’s going on [with Lindsay.] She gives you a to work off of. I really enjoyed being in the scenes with her. You’re never bored.” He especially wasn’t bored, he admits, during the more intimate moments he filmed with Lohan in the steamy, adult-themed film. “I’ve never done a love scene before. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it,” he says.

Taylor Swift is apparently feeling pretty serious about her summer romance with 18-year-old Conor Kennedy — so serious that she’s looking into buying a house in Cape Cod near the Kennedy compound. “That would be amazing,” Swift tells Rolling Stone when asked about the real estate purchase. Recent reports have Swift circling a seven-bedroom home adjacent to the Kennedy property.

If Jamie Kennedy learned one thing from his relationship with Jennifer Love Hewitt, it’s that dating in Hollywood is especially tough. “People weren’t rooting for a good relationship,” he tells People magazine. “That was really hard to deal with. You see snarky headlines and eventually you just have to stop reading that stuff.”

The fallout from the nightclub brawl between Drake and Chris Brown‘s entourages continues, with NBA star Tony Parker now suing the club for $20 million over injuries he sustained in the melee, according to TMZ. Parker’s suit claims the owners of nightclub W.i.P. should have been aware of the “bad blood” between the two R&B stars. The club owners counter that they can’t be expected to keep track of their patrons’ personal lives.
