Tigers hockey squad recruits high-scoring forward

Porters Lake native Ryan Stoddard is the latest recruit of the Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey team.

The high-scoring junior A forward played with the Dieppe Commandos last season and was the MVP of the Fred Page Cup Eastern Canadian championship. He piled up 145 points in 110 games over two seasons.

Dal coach Pete Belliveau commended the former Cole Harbour McCain star for his “speed, grit and finish.”

The Tigers also announced the addition of Jacob Johnston from the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario junior A ranks. He had seven goals among 40 points in 46 games last season.

Belliveau has unveiled a bevy of off-season recruits after five consecutive non-playoff campaigns.
