A stray bullet struck a toddler who was playing inside his Brockton home Saturday afternoon, according to police.
The bullet flew in through a window of a Bartlett Street home and hit the 3-year-old child in the back of his left leg, a family member told WHDH. The child was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The shooting occurred around 1 p.m., just blocks away from a city peace rally where over 100 people were gathered to speak against violence and discrimination, the Brockton Enterprise reported. Police are still investigating the crime and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
