1 Robertson’s Houdini act in Game 2 of the ALDS — David Robertson had quite a postseason debut when he pitched the 11th inning vs. Minnesota. He loaded the bases with nobody out but kept the game tied and was the winning pitcher when Mark Teixeira homered. Afterward teammates referred to him as “Dave Houdini.”

2 A-Rod’s tying home run in Game 2 of the ALDS — The Yankees were three outs away from a 3-1 loss to the Twins but Alex Rodriguez took Joe Nathan long in the ninth to send it to extras. They wound up with a 4-3 11-inning victory.

3 A-Rod’s homer in Game 3 of the ALDS — A-Rod homered, Jorge Posada followed with a solo shot and the Yankees advanced to their first ALCS in five years.

4 A-Rod’s tying home run in Game 2 of the ALCS — Rodriguez took another closer out of the park. A-Rod bashed a game-tying solo home run to right field off Brian Fuentes and the Yankees eventually beat the Angels.

6 Matsui’s home run off Pedro in Game 2 of the World Series — The Phils looked to go up 2-0 in the series, until Hideki?Matsui drilled Pedro Martinez’s 1-2 curveball into the seats in the sixth inning.

7 A.J. pies the Phillies in Game 2 of the World Series — After dropping Game 1, the Yankees could have been in big trouble with another loss and three games in Philadelphia. A.J. Burnett quelled all panic with seven dominant innings.

8 Heads up Johnny in Game 4 of the World Series — Johnny Damon stole second in the ninth inning off Brad Lidge and then stole an uncovered third. It changed Lidge’s approach to A-Rod and Damon scored the go-ahead run on a double to left field.
