It’s called Free Shipping Day, an annual cyber shopping holiday on which retailers across the internet appeal to last-minute holiday shoppers with the promise of no-costshipping and gifts in time for Christmas. The quasi-holiday started in 2008 and is now in its ninth year. This year it falls on Dec. 16.
There are over 1,000 merchants participating, including a combination of big-box retailers and independent online stores. Lululemon, Banana Republic, GameStop and American Eagle are among those taking partfor the first time.
