Topless Times Square lady arrested on drugs, prostitution charges

One of Times Square’s topless ladies was busted on Wednesday night for providing both drugs and sexual services to undercover officers, police said.

Destiny Romero, 20, allegedly struck up conversation with two officers at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday near the pedestrian plaza where the body-painted, bare-chested ladies have set up shop on 42nd Street.

Authorities said Romero soon offered the officers a hook up to get some cocaine and MDMA pills commonly referred to as Molly.

Romero led the plainclothes cops to Jason Perez, 22, who met up with them near midnight at a nearby hotel. Once there, NYPD said the supposed scofflaws sold them the illegal substances and offered Romero’s sexual services.

The New York Daily News reported Romero and Perez made the deal in exchange for $200.

Romero faces three felony charges and one misdemeanor for prostitution. Perez, who was also found carrying marijuana, also faces three felony charges and a misdemeanor for promoting prostitution.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis, the NYPD’s top spokesman, told the News that police “beefed [vice enforcement at Times Square] up significantly.”

City officials and local community leaders have zeroed in on Times Square’s topless women, with Mayor Bill de Blasio creation of a task force and floating a proposal to eliminate the popular tourist site’s pedestrian plaza.
