Amtrak service has resumed with delays after a freight train derailment in the Bronx Wednesday morning.

Service was suspended between New York City’s Penn Station and New Rochelle, New York, according to Amtrak, but partial service has been restored with with trains traveling through the affected area at restricted speeds. Delays up to 90 mins can be expected.

The derailment happened around 10 a.m. at Longwood Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard in Hunts Point, according to NBC4.

About eight cars came off the tracks, the station reported. ABC7added that those cars were empty and no one was injured in the derailment.

However, the cars did block the tracks, disrupting Amtrak service in and out of Penn Station. It’s not clear what caused the derailment.
