Transit the talk of Ward 9 voters

Public transit should be a key issue for the more than 68,000 residents of Ward 9.

One of the biggest wards in the city, Ward 9 runs from the river valley, west of the Whitemud, to the city’s southernmost border.

Ward 9 is growing quickly as a number of newer communities are popping up making transportation a big issue.

Bryan Anderson is running for a fifth term on council. He believes in maintaining core services for residents and keeping property taxes in check.

Rami Bader is a first-time candidate.

The former online publisher vows to serve the people and insists he has no political agenda and is not backed by big business.

Calvin Lim believes Edmonton has a lot to offer but thinks it’s time for revitalization.

Finally, Jennifer Watts promises to maximize value from property tax dollars through transparency and clarity.

The Ward 9 public forum took place on Sept. 28 but you can still catch it online at edmonton.ca.
