Trump attacks ESPN host Jemele Hill on Twitter

Donald Trump Attacks ESPN host Jamele Hill, says she is the reason why

On Tuesday, President Trump took to twitter to attack ESPN host Jemele Hill just one day after she was suspended for expressing her thoughts about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

ESPN suspended Jamele Hill for two weeks on Monday because of, according to ESPN,  “a second violation” of their social media guidelines, according to a statement released by the sports network.

In a series of tweets that began Sunday night, Hill criticized the Cowboys team owner for his comments about any players who “disrespect the flag.” Jones said there is a team policy that prohibits players from playing if they disrespect the flag. According to the team owner, the policy has been effective since last year.

Hill said, “Jerry Jones also has created a problem for his players, specifically the black ones. If they don’t kneel, some will see them as sellouts.”

Hill later said, “If you strongly reject what Jerry Jones said, the key is his advertisers. Don’t place the burden squarely on the players.”

Early Tuesday morning, Donald Trump tweeted, “With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have ‘tanked,’ in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!” Just before that, he blasted the NFL for getting “massive tax breaks” at the same time they are “disrespecting our Anthem.”

In September, Jemele Hill tweeted her views about Donald Trump and called him a “white supremacist.” ESPN released a statement saying the comments from Jemele Hill “do not represent the position of ESPN.”
