Trump orders ‘Hamilton’ cast to ‘Apologize!’ for treatment of Pence

President-elect Donald Trump is not very happy with the cast of “Hamilton.”

Following Friday’s performance of the Broadway smash in which Mike Pence was in attendance, the cast decided to make the most of having the vice president-elect as part of their captive audience.

In a post-performance address, Brandon Victor Dixon, who played the part of Aaron Burr in the musical, said as Pence was leaving the building:

“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

While the audience cheered — and social media exploded — one person was not too pleased: the future president.

In typical fashion, Trump took to Twitter Saturday morning, writing first that “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater” and that “This should not happen!”

Dixon soon responded, writing that “conversation is not harassment sir” and expressed appreciation that Pence stopped to listen.

Trump soon after tweeted that theaters “must always be a safe and special place” and called the cast “very rude” to a “very good man” and ordered them to “Apologize!”
