A photo of Donald Trump at a Brooklyn restaurant that was removed when patrons complained has now been returned to its spot on the wall as area Trump supporters report being targeted for vandalism. The owners of the Schnitzel Haus on Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge took down the signed Trump headshot earlier in August when diners complained that it was ruining their appetites, Brooklyn Daily reported. Now the owners, who made no claim of supporting Trump or his political ambitions, have decided to put the photo back on the wall at their German restaurant. RELATED:Brooklyn restaurant removes Trump picture after diners complain “At the end of the day, it’s our restaurant, and it’s our right and privilege to have it up,” Amber Urban, who operates the eatery with her husband, said to Brooklyn Daily. “It’s not up to others what we can and can’t do. It’s our choice.” The photo, a gift from Trump that was received after the real estate mogul visited the restaurant in 2007, had been in place without incident until his recent presidential bid brought the photo attention from displeased diners, Brooklyn Daily reported in a separate article. This was not the only recent example of Trump’s likeness or name drawing unwelcome attention. A giant T in the front yard of a Trump supporter’s Staten Island home was torched this past weekend, and now the owner has rebuilt a larger T. In Brooklyn, a Gowanus man reported that his home had a rock thrown through the glass door for displaying pro-Trump signs.

Outside of New York, such incidents have also been receiving national attention. A Florida homeowner claimed that his lawn was set on fire and his house was spray-painted because of his support for Trump,Fox13reported. “To come and start committing acts of crime and vandalizing my personalpropertyhas gone way too far – and then to step in my yard and light my yard on fire is getting very dangerous,” homeowner Craig Sarvis said to Fox13.
