Trump says ‘do not worry’ in first tweet about failure of health care bill

President Donald Trump and the GOP suffered a major loss when their health care plan

In his first tweet addressing the failure of the Republican health care plan, President Donald Trump urged Americans to not worry.

“ObamaCare will explode and we will all get together and piece together a great healthcare plan for THE PEOPLE. Do not worry!” he tweeted Saturday morning.

After the bill failed to pass due to opposition from House Republicans, Trump made a similar statement on Friday, saying that he’d love to see Obamacare “do well, but it can’t. … It’s imploding and soon will explode. It won’t be pretty.”

The failure of former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act was a huge blow to Republicans, who fought the plan tooth and nail for the past seven years.

“We came really close today, but we came up short,” House Speaker Paul Ryan said Friday.

He, too, believes “the worst is yet to come with Obamacare,” but the ACA is still “the law of the land,” Ryan said.
