TV picks: Weekend, Jan. 11-13

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards

SPECIAL. Sure, favorites like “Homeland” and “Argo” are nominated, but we’re guessing the performance most deserving of a statue on Sunday night comes from co-host — and former “Weekend Update” co-anchors — Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (both nominated for Best TV Comedy Actress to boot).

Sunday, 8 p.m., NBC

“Banshee”

DRAMA. Cinemax continues its foray into scripted television with this drama about a deceptively sleepy town in Pennsylvania with an ex-con sheriff who is hunted by the head of a Ukrainian gang.

Series premiere, Friday, 10 p.m., Cinemax

“Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual”

REALITY. The quirky singer seems made for reality television; here the 59-year-old pop star is followed by cameras as she appears on “The Voice” and works on an autobiography.

Series premiere, Saturday, 9 p.m., WEtv

2013 Miss America Competition

SPECIAL. “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison presides over the annual celebration of big hair and bikinis.

Saturday, 9 p.m., ABC
