Twitter reaction to Jerry Sandusky’s sentence of 30 to 60 years

The Twitterverse is wasting no time reacting to the final chapter of
scandal that has captured the attention of the country for nearly a
year.

Jerry Sandusky was a trending topic on Twitter all
morning. After the news broke that he was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in
prison for 45 counts of child sex abuse, Twitter went into overdrive as
users expressed both outrage and satisfaction about his fate.

Many
users insist a 30 to 60 year sentence is far too light for his crimes.
Sandusky is 68 now and could theoretically be eligible for parole at age
98. Other users feel the sentence brings justice and closure for
Sandusky’s victims.

Still, other tweeters are taking a more
aggressive approach to the news, saying Sandusky deserves a death
sentence instead of a prison term. There are also countless tweets from
people taking delight in Sandusky’s impending “jail house justice.”
