REVELSTOKE, B.C. – Two Calgary residents have been killed in a crash on the Trans Canada Highway 25 kilometres east of Revelstoke.
RCMP
Cpl. Rod Wiebe confirmed the crash occurred early Wednesday morning
when an empty eastbound tractor-trailer unit veered across the centre
line.
It plowed into an oncoming semi-trailer and the wreckage was hit by a third big rig.
Wiebe said both Calgary men in the eastbound tractor-trailer died at the scene but no one else was hurt.
The victims have not been identified but investigators say one was 29-years-old and the other was 39.
The crash closed Highway One between Revelstoke and Golden with debris not expected to be cleared until late Wednesday morning.
