Two more ships originally bound for Montreal will arrive in Halifax this morning.
The increased ship traffic is no problem for the Halifax Port, said Michele Peveril, spokeswoman for the Halifax Port Authority. Halifax has the capacity to handle about twice the amount of cargo currently at the terminal.
“It is still early in the situation to determine… how long this situation will continue and what the impact will be,” she said yesterday.
