Two NYPD officers arrested on DWI charges overnight in separate incidents

Two off-duty members of the NYPD were arrested overnight Wednesday in separate incidents, both on charges of driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test.

Lieutenant Ronald Anderson, 49, was arrested just before midnight on Wednesday in the area of Richmond and Platinum Avenues in Staten Island.

Just before 2 a.m., Captain Roberto Cruz, 38, was arrested in the 121 precinct of Queens, which includes Forest Hills and Rego Park.
