Two perish in deadly overnight residential fire in Brooklyn

Two people died and three others were injured in a fire in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the 911 call about the fire at 852 E. 15th St. in Midwood about 3:30 a.m. A 91-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 63-year-old man was removed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Three other occupants of the house were treated for minor injuries at Maimonides Hospital, police said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The victims’ identities have not yet been released by police.
