UK reports record daily total of 26,688 COVID-19 cases

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, in Manchester

(Reuters) – A total of 26,688 coronavirus cases were reported in Britain on Wednesday, the highest daily total to date, and a further 191 deaths within 28 days of a positive test, according to government data.
