LONDON (Reuters) – Britain is on track to meet a target to offer first COVID-19 shots to all adults by the end of July, health minister Matt Hancock said, even though many under-50s will not receive shots as early as previously expected due to a supply shortage.

“We’re committed to all adults being able to get the jab by the end of July, and we’re on track to deliver on that commitment,” Hancock told a media conference on Wednesday.

“The future forecasts are always lumpy, and sometimes they go up, and sometimes they go down, but we’ve made these public commitments, and I’m absolutely delighted with the team, because we’re on track to meet them.”
