The Ottawa LCBO employees’ union is urging its members not to vote for Bay Ward candidate Mark Taylor.
OPSEU Local 499 cited Taylor’s history as an assistant to Jim Watson at Queen’s Park.
“We met with Mark Taylor when he was working for Jim Watson and he wouldn’t support our anti-privatization campaign for the LCBO,” said Local 499 president Lori Davis.
“How could we dare support Mr. Taylor now?”
“They’re certainly free to do whatever they will,” Taylor said of the LCBO union.
