Put the car in park.
New York City has banned all non-emergency vehicles because of the dangerous blizzard conditions, from white-outs, to ice, and snow plows.
The ban starts at 11 p.m. and will be in place until the city fathers — and mothers — tell us otherwise.
Most public transit is already pretty much powered down.
If you hadn’t already been jolted by your phone’s life-stilling alert near 9 p.m., which had Twitter above, now you know.
Hunker down, Metro faithful!
