Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin said the state would work with the federal government to review safety on the tracks and analyze rock ledges after a rock slide led to a train derailment Monday morning.

“We don’t want to go through this a second time,”Shumlinsaid.

Crews would have to move the trains with cranes, address fuel spillage and rebuild damaged tracks in order to get trcks operating normally, Shumlin said.

“This is not a 24-hour turnaround,” he said. “It’s going to take us some time.”
