A woman was found dead on a Harlem Street just after midnight on Tuesday, police said.
The NYPD originally said the woman, who has not been identified, was fatally stabbed in the head. Police later said she was not stabbed in the head, and that they are investigating as dead on arrival, not a homicide. Officers found the woman in front of 406 Lenox Ave. near W. 130th Street.
Paramedics pronounced the 37-year-old woman dead at the scene. There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
