Updated: At about noon Wellesley police said the “Patches” was located and thanked community members who called in sightings.

Three dogs went missing after a car crash in Wellesley on Wednesday morning, and police were asking for the public’s help to reunite them with the owner.

Wellesley authorities responded to the scene after a car crashed into a utility pole on Brook Street about 9 a.m. Shortly afterward, police released information about three dogs that escaped after the crash.

A black labrador named Ellie and a smaller spaniel named Cody were missing and thought to possibly be in the Needham area, but were located about 11 a.m.

The third dog, a smaller spaniel-type named Patches, who is black and white and should have a collar on, was still missing as of 11 a.m. The dog might be in the Grove Street and Dana Hall area, police said.

If anyone sees the dog, they can call 781-235-1212.
