Here we go again.
A moving truck became stuck on Storrow Drive on Monday afternoon, forcing the closure of a lane and delaying motorists using the river road.
State police said at 12:30 p.m. to expect delays “for quite some time” and for drivers to seek an alternate route. At about 1:45 p.m. state police said that all lanes of Storrow Drive were open. Inspectors from the state Department on Transportation deemed the overpass to be safe.
The truck became stuck under an overpass near Charles Circle just after noon. Pictures from the scene showed the roof was partially damaged and that the back of the truck was filled with cardboard moving boxes.

The right lane was closed while crews worked to dislodge the truck and the westbound on-ramp from Charles Circle was closed while inspectors examined the overpass.
Storrow Drive typically becomes a truck-stopper around the end of August and beginning of September when many out-of-town drivers use the roadway to pilot moving trucks. September is when many students move to town and the first of the month is a day that experiences high turnover in apartments.
Drivers of tall vehicles who are unfamiliar with the roadway typically become stuck because of the many overpasses and height restrictions, despite multiple warning signs.
In February, a charter bus slammed into an overpass, injuringdozens of students on a trip to the area.
