Investigators on Wednesday morning were at the scenes of two separate fires in Somerville, which is experiencing a string of arsons.

Everyone made it out of the buildings that were damaged as a result of the dual two-alarm fires that broke out at 85 Bromfield Road and 313 Summer St. However two firefighters suffered minor injuries, said Chief Kevin Kelleher.

The first fire broke out at 5:28 a.m. at Bromfield Road and damaged the home there. Moments later, fire crews were called to Summer Street, where a car and the side of a home was also damaged by the blaze.

Investigators were determining the cause of Wednesday’s fires.

City officials said earlier this month thatat least three ina recent string of nearly a dozen fireswere intentionally set. The arson string pushed officials to offer a $15,000 rewardfor information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or people involved with setting the fires.

“Obviously, it’s somebody that needs help. Maybe they don’t want to hurt somebody, but if somebody is setting fires, eventually they will hurt somebody,” Kelleher said.

Anyone with information can call 617-625-1600 or contact the state arson hotline at 800-682-9229.
