Upgrade your lunch to benefit hungry kids this week

If the closest you’ve gotten to The Lambs Club is staring longingly at its Instagram, then make it lunch today — no expense account required.

ChefGeoffrey Zakarian is one of five culinary heavy hitterstaking up residence inside a food truck every day this week in Manhattan to benefit City Harvest. For a (minimum) donation of $10, you’ll get lunch and the satisfaction of knowing that you’re helping to feed local children during their most vulnerable time of year: when schools are closed and kids, about a quarter of whom already live in food insecure homes, go hungry even more often.

The truck will be in a new spot every day, serving between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Here’s thefull schedule:

Monday: Zakarian of The Lambs Club is first up, serving roast turkey sandwiches with chilled farro salad. For dessert, there’s Melt “Mini Debbie” vanilla and salted caramel ice cream sandwiches. Find him in Midtown East along Park Avenue in the low 50s.

Tuesday: Keep the day’s usual Mexican theme but swap your tacos for chicken quesadillas and guacamole from Dos Caminos by Ivy Stark. Mini doughnuts from Doughnuttery will also be served in Union Square.

Wednesday: Danny Mena will be serving tortas de milanesa (breaded beef cutlets) and chicharrones from Hecho en Dumbo, with cookies from Maison Kayser in Madison Square Park.

Thursday: Mortadella and provolone sandwiches with arugula pesto by James “Mac” Moran from Marc Murphy’sLandmarc, with macarons byFrançois Payard. Catch them in Midtown, near 48th Street and Sixth Avenue.

Friday: Matthew Katakis will sling pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw from his restaurant Butcher Bar, alongside Key lime cake pops from NY Cake Pops, in the Financial District at Water Street and Maiden Lane.
